Scared Joaquin.....

This is what scared him..... Marissa (Chris' sister) dressed as a pirate. Everytime he saw her with the eyepatch on he got scared and started crying :(

Prequel to Halloween

Joaquin spent some time with Grandma and Grandpa Vickery on Sunday so Mommy could get some cleaning done around the house. We got some really good pics while he was there. I can't get over how much he looks like a little man in this first picture. He's growing up so fast! We weighed him ourselves the other day and estimated him to be 15 pounds! Which means he has gained 2 1/2 pounds in the last month.

Here Grandma is playing with his feet.... he really is such a happy baby :)

Dressed up in the pumpkin outfit Gigi and Great-grandpa Don got him. He didn't much like the hat... so most of the pics are of him without it on. When he had it on he just kind of stared at us!

this one is my favorite I think... he would smile and then get himself so excited :)

All decked out. Sheldon, Sylvia and Shelly sent Joaquin mittens and a bib that matched his outfit perfectly, so we had to get some pics of him wearing all of his accessories.

Fistful of Fun!

He can't hold his head up for toooo long yet, but he still enjoys sitting in his bumbo when he has a little extra head support.
Joaquin has really started to enjoy sucking on his hands. This morning he managed to get 3 1/2 fingers of one fist into his mouth! He doesn't get than many in his mouth in this video but you can still see how much he enjoys that hand.

He was making all kinds of noise and smiling and then i brought out the camera and all of the sudden Joaquin became camera shy! Sorry it's so dark.... I only had one light on in the living room.

Playing with his new toy from Gigi and Great-grandpa Buford. He's usually quite mesmerized by it.

Lip Smackin Good

Joaquin is really enjoys smackin his lips! He just goes and goes and goes :)

Joaquin is starting to smile more and more. Tonight we got a few good smiles out of him while he was playing on his playmat. Usually his happiest time of the day is when he is getting changed first thing in the morning... there is always a big smile for Mommy then! Grandma wanted us to get a good picture of her holding Joaquin while we were at their house the other day, but we were unsuccessful. I have some blackmail quality photos of grandma I could post... but I'll save those for later ;)
